Ian Royal Didn't he show his lack of recent experience by being dumbfounded that you couldn't dive into a tackle like Gerrard did anymore?

Of course not. He's watched plenty of football and knows exactly what you're allowed and not allowed to do.

All the other managers defend their players and look dumbfounded when these type of decisions go against them, what's their excuse?

I don't know whether to mock cmonurz for this result as I'm still unsure which team he supports.

Ideal big giant LOL @ the deluded Liverpool fans who thought Roy Hodgson was the problem, and when he was gone everything would turn into sunshine and roses

Shit squad used to playing defensive shit tactics, then when one of their two star players is totally in a slump, and the other seems to deliberately get himself sent off so as to not have to deal with this crap anymore, well.. you know what will happen. Relegation is possible.

John Hartson did the exact same thing as Gerrard a few years back. When the team were about to be relegated he got himself sent off so he wouldn't have to tough it out.
Gerrard isn't strong enough for a relegation battle, clearly he fancies himself in a top team and wants nothing to do with these shambles.
For him relegation would be great, then he could finally leave Liverpool without being branded "judas", he'd have a good reason.

what top club would buy him now though? Only City realistically I reckon
