I remember him scoring against us when Wimbledon beat us 3-0 at the Madejski. It was his first full season. I think Jobi scored that day as well and Leigertwood also played for Wimbledon.

His 771 appearances don't include the 30 odd he played for Wimbledon

Sutekh
Silver Fox
Sutekh Liverpool done by the VAR idiots yet again. How on earth was that handball not given as such in the first half?

It was on in the Nags with no sound on and I was bemused to say the least that it wasn’t given but now that I’ve seen MOTD I really don’t know what they were playing at.

Possibly not as badly done by as Forest were though and to think people were probably worried about a girl refereeing

Looked up the VAR ref for Liverpool yesterday and it was David Coote (think he's the one that didn't see anything wrong with Pickford's assault on van Dijk a couple of seasons ago!). He really doesn't have a good record.

VVD shouldn't even be playing against Arsenal. Should have been off against United after a blatant yellow and descent. Funny how a United player got sent off for 2 bouts of arguing. Thought that was a pen on Trossard as well. He was pushed in the back. Wasn't a shoulder charge. Evens itself out.

9 points from possible 39

Least points of any club in the Championship since he took over at Birmingham

It's the kind of stupid bonkers decision we would make regarding managers. "Let's bring in a manager who got relegated from the Championship, and got a team to finish in the bottom half of the MLS." It all sounds so familiar.

Much as I enjoy MU getting beaten I can acknowledge facts, and they were superb. If they hadn’t been offside virtually every attack in the 1st half they could have won that about 8-2.

But Villa didn’t know what was hitting them and were awful in the 2nd half.

Fair play, that could / should ignite their season. Just run about a lot, as a team should always do, and look what happens! It ain’t rocket science.

Excellent second half from Man United. Really upped their tempo, and their attack looked a lot more fluid. They'll be pleased poundland Haaland finally managed to score as well.

Villa stopped playing after their second goal, although they did have two excellent chances, one after the first United goal and another after the second United goal. Really disappointed watching them.

And ArsenaLOL. Seriously what is Arteta doing? It's Wengerball all over again. Trying to walk the ball in the net.
And not buying a striker when it's glaringly obvious they need one. They will win nothing.

Mind you that ball looked out on the first WHU goal.....can't see how that was given in.

Ridiculous that Arsenal didn’t sign a top centre forward Pre-season. If anything, they probably need 2.

They could probably use a bit more depth as well when you look at their bench, but pretty much everything else is in place to win a PL except the one piece that really matters. If they don’t go out and get one in January i’ll be amazed. But then I said similar at the end of last season.

They were indeed, what a year for them. And yet lose a couple of games and the “Moyes out” murmurs will begin again.

Southampton Vs Plymouth is at 6pm today. I know it's an unusual week but still seems odd for a working day

Fairly normal kick off time back over in Germany on Friday's. Makes for a full evening of footballing entertainment. One or two second division games starting at 6 or 6.30 followed by a Bundesliga game at 8.30.

Makes little difference for a travelling fan if the game starts at 6 or 7.45 as most will have had to take a half day to get there anyway - guess it impacts home fans but with enough notice, shouldn't really be a problem.

As more games get put on the tv, UK audiences will have to get used to more random kick off times to accomodate.

That's a pig of a journey to make by public transport. You've got to go via Bristol. Last train back to get the last connection in Bristol leaves Southampton at 8:35.

I guess I was thinking more about locals trying to get there, the traffic situation etc. Your just asking for the roads to be even busier during rush hour.

But I don't know where Southamptons stadium is tbh. That could make a difference.
