Winston Biscuit I guess I was thinking more about locals trying to get there, the traffic situation etc. Your just asking for the roads to be even busier during rush hour.

But I don't know where Southamptons stadium is tbh. That could make a difference.

Their ground is right by the river Itchen as it flows down to meet the Solent which means having to drive/get through Southampton to get to games and, even given this week is likely to be light on the commuter front, with so many people off for the holidays it's still an odd time for kick off (or are SKY just trying to cram 2 live games into their tv schedule).

I know West Ham fans are obv deluded oddballs, but I am listening to talksport (I know, I know) and they are doing a call in on why their fans don't like Moyes and there are loads calling in saying they want him out at the end of the season

They really are a deluded bunch of idiots (i presume it's the standard highly vocal mega-minority of dumplings). Moyes saved West Ham from relegation in his first stint and since his reappointment he's led them to getting the most ever points West Ham have managed in the PL in a season, qualifying for Europe twice and winning a European trophy (albeit the conference cup or whatever it's called) without a single defeat and then they turn over one of the favourites for the PL title (albeit Arsenal) away from home and the little dinky cry babies want him gone, what is the actual reason? Is it something like "not playing perfect one touch passing entertaining football?" These spoilt a*s want to try watching proper clubs playing football in the real world.

But then if they do a "Brum" and get relegated as a result I'm sure we'd all be supportive of their request.

One caller said he wants him out as he has no appreciation for 'the west ham way', and another said Moyes wouldn't let them come over and clap the fans in 1 game last season so he needs to go.

Any football fan who says 'the (insert their club name) way' can get right in the f*cking bin and stay there.

While I am on a rant, all pundits suddenly only calling Kenilworth Road 'The Kenny' can also get in the bin

Harsh on Plymouth. Goal wrongly ruled out for offside and Southampton go straight up the other end and score.

Yeah I feel for Moyes because I'm sure he's wondering what more he can do to win the fans over. Consecutive European appearances, record PL points, first trophy in donkeys years at the top level and currently 6th in the league.

Fans just build up a narrative about anyone they don't like though. There is a criticism about how he hasn't found a proper striker with the expensive failed signings of Scamacca and Haller, but perhaps the fans want to look at the recruitment team as a whole, rather than just the manager. It would be a real coup if they were to pick someone like Solanke up from Bournemouth.

Really unlucky Luton. Had so many chances, disallowed goal, crossbar twice, a hatful of superb crosses into good areas that were either missed or defended very well (usually by Thiago Silva) and plenty of effort. It just seemed like they ran out of steam/composure in injury time, Doughty trying to take his man on in the very last minute when he just needed to put a ball in between the penalty spot and 6 yard line and they'd have had every chance then.

Chelsea 3-0 up yet still unconvincing. Cole Palmer is a really good player though, that 3rd goal was superb.

The have a syndrome call Curbishlyitis. Where your team are punching miles above their weight every season and your mid table and safe but you get the red mist because you want more and think your entitled. Then when you get the manager out the team gets worse and relegated never to return, you start refusing to accept you were wrong.

I'm sure not all West Ham fans are delusional. Probably 95% know how good this is and appreciate Moyes, but the 5% get disproportionate airtime because it's better entertainment. See also "experts" debating Brexit or climate change. Even BBCRB recently had that joker saying we need Steven Gerrard.

Brentford are going to get relegated. Starting to get sucked in now and conceding goals for fun.

really hope not.

When is Ivan Toney due back?

Furthermore, although the bottom three have had some near misses recently, they remain the firm favourites to go down (also a shame as they are the three promoted sides)

Yeh, Luton's pluckiness isn't actually getting them very far.

Yeah they seem to be in a bit of freefall at the moment, they can't get Toney and Mbuemo back quick enough.
