BROB0T I posted on here a while back that I thought Tuchel was a bit over-rated...22 points out of the last 42 is very much mid-table form

Roman isn't known for his patience

Since Conte's appointment, Spurs have won only 1 point less than Chelsea... having played 5 fewer games

NathStPaul Chelsea made a mistake re-signing Lukaku in hindsight, his heart wouldn't appear to be in it. I'm not sure he works hard enough in the system they play. That Chelsea team with a really mobile, pacey striker would be a lot closer to City imo.

Like Werner?

I don't think he is quite good enough tbh, at the very least not suited to the Premier League. He is a good bench option but not someone you'd want leading the line.

Yeh, if he could finish he'd be lethal, but I think last season killed his confidence. May yet come good.

Rooney very much throwing his hat into the ring for the Everton job (was there ever a time where actual hats were thrown into actual rings when someone wanted to suggest they were the person for the job?)

"I'm flattered to get brought up in those conversations, Everton know that to have any communication with me they have to go through the administrators"

The ring in question here is a boxing ring. These, of course used to be circular spaces in a crowd of onlookers, rather than the square, roped 'rings' of contemporary pugilism. Any Jack the lad who fancied his chances in a bout would throw in his hat - presumably this was a more reliable way of putting oneself forward than just shouting over the hubbub of the crowd.

Not really the right thread for it, but kudos to Gerrard for shithousing at Old Trafford and then at Goodison. Absolute boss.

Ranieri gone from Watford according to reports.

Can't adequately put into words how much I hate them and their obviously crooked business model.

Ranieri gone - now there’s a surprise although it was to be expected after losing 3-0 to Norwich

Not too dissimilar to ours unfortunately.

Don't place too much stock in who the Head Coach is but rely on recruitment to attract the players. To be fair they do seem to pick up some quality ones at decent prices and as long as they do that , they seem more than happy.

Modern football eh !?!

Utterly bonkers model they have going on there. Why they keep handing out 3 year contracts to managers is beyond me.
