From what I can see from the BBC website the FA Trophy games below are still on. One casualty though is Slough v Taunton on the plastic/all weather pitch :lol:

AthleticoSpizz Hungerford, Bracknell, (and Dorking) in the hat

.... Dorking Wanderers & Hungerford both go thru on pens - 'Robins' progress 2-1 @ Eastbourne Borough, thanks to 2nd half goals from Grant & Knight.

I toddled over to Ascot 5-1 Windsor - was free entry - an Xmas special apparently so not sure of the crowd size, lots of families which was good to see.
Visitors had no answer to the the old warhorse Marcus Mealing up front , who notched a hat-trick.

Windsor in a very natty understated Union Jack outfit (black on white) - sadly yellow numbering that made it tricky to identify individual players.

Basingstoke beaten 0-1 @ H to Walton & Hersham - att well over 500.
Alton go down 0-2 at Jersey : whilst across the water a bit ... Hanworth Villa led 1-0 @ Guernsey, when a very nasty challenge from a home player, led to straight Red - a bad injury and ultimately an abandonment.

Bracknell again :shock: two fairly decent National League South sides beaten away from home in successive rounds. Will they fear anyone in the last 16 (it is the last 16 at round 4 isn’t it?), a derby game with Maidenhead or Slough might be fun! Or maybe a home game with Wrexham, if it’s a national draw, be nice to have Parky back so close to Reading.

...just for completion of games previewed above

Much as I'd thought the BA v E&C CCL-1 game was postponed - I'm assuming the relatively low profile of both on Social Media caused the delay in announcing this.
Anyone that did turn up could at least have had the possible option of nipping next door for a friendly game hastily arranged - presumably between Bedfont Sports and Hampton & Richmond - unless it was the lodgers Deportivo involved? Not sure that took place in the end anyway

SSM-1 Rugby Borough {EIGHT} 8-1 Holmer Green - so their mini-revival comes to a shuddering halt

HI Everybody ... of the Anorak persuasion and of course any other occasional 'droppers in' to this (fairly peaceful) somewhat esoteric 'oasis' within GF :D

- Season's Greetings an' all to all

- Santa's been chez Foccers : socks/pants/chocolate oranges/diaries etc duly unwrapped by the offspring from their stockings - expect since they are all now in their 20's that tradition may tail off/dwindle in scope somewhat :( - sure it used to take up the best part of two hours - which could put a strain on the mostly 'Delia-driven' schedule for Christmas AM food prep .... :?
... I have an all too brief 'window' to post some witless Yule-tide drivel - so here goes:
:mrgreen:

A preview of featured-NL clubs holiday fixtures for Mon/Tue: - a bit scant comparative to previous years - especially below the top four steps.
-could possibly be due to planned longer-term caution among the fixture schedulers - allowing for the potential impact of colder weather. From my ever-fading/vague memory, there have been a couple of near 'wipe-outs' at this time of year - I do recall last Dec was exceedingly wet.
(though it does seems pretty mild currently - expect we'll get the arctic blizzards the Mail/Express crave thru Feb/Mar - messing up the end of the season)

- also maybe the impact of the WC2022 higher up the Pyramid scheduling more midweek games thru Sep/Nov.
- the last re-structuring dropped a few lesser cup competitions - means we may not have the congestion we've had in former years which traditionally led to a glut of fixtures around now?

Ta bc .... yes the apparent FoCcers family idyll, generally goes downhill from that point on these days 8) ... nuff said

.... no NL Xmas fare for me - had Brackley on my list too for today :(
- domestic crisis of the vehicular kind, means we have only 1 car for three drivers with different requirements.
In that I was the cause of such limitations, I'm obviously waiving my needs - better half takes precedence as the M-I-L is v. seriously ill so she wants to be able to pop back and forth as necessary.

Hope to get out over the NY w/e - BH, where there is a far wider choice anyway.....

.... and today's an ideal day to sofa it, concoct some exotic variation of Turkey leftovers involving Sarnies or some imaginative home-version of a kebab with the darker bits if there's any left .....and binge the Amazon Prem games
.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
.....Couple of late updates on the seasonal prog above for Tuesday:
CCL-1 Woodley's fixture at Rivermoor (Scours) is now showing as a 15:00 start
SLP-S ..... and issues at the SB Stadium (?) appear to have seen Bracknell's fixture reversed - showing as same time KO (needs confirming as the SL site is hardly a bastion of precision) but now at Beaconsfield?
I thought Ramarni Medford-Smith was at Bracknell, has he moved on already or is it a loan or one of those dual registration jobbies?
Sutekh
I thought Ramarni Medford-Smith was at Bracknell, has he moved on already or is it a loan or one of those dual registration jobbies?
...sorry no idea - my iPad doesn't cope well with club sites and won't go anywhere nr Twitter, so can't find any kind of news about a move/sub-loan for him.
I did try and check the home clubs' tweets on another device but was no mention on there anyway.
I do know he played in Thatcham's recent win at Tooting & M so yesterday was his 2nd match for them.
....and tonight's game for Bracknell at Beaconsfield Town was not relocated due to ground issues at SB, as the 'Fizzers' are hosting bottom club Hillingdon Boro in a CCL-1 game there this evening.
-I hadn't picked up on the clash earlier and would have assumed 'Robins' might take 'preference' - but maybe the STEP03 fixture was easier to re-arrange/switch - with Holloways Pk being 3G ?
