Surprised Chelsea haven't managed to find Ampadu top flight football somewhere.

At risk of a whoosh here but Spezia are in Serie A.

£247m in transfer fees paid now this summer for Chelsea, with just £33m coming in (Werner and Emerson). Crikey.

And they are apparently in advanced talks to sign Gvardiol of RB Leipzig for around €90m, with the defender to join next summer.

I mean FIFA might as well just put FFP in the bin right now. Clubs are seemingly just getting around it.

listened to summat earlier that said in the season before the WC, players want to move if they need 1st team football but if they don't get it in the summer they use Jan to make sure they get their move, but due to the WC timing this year there are more players than usual asking to move now.

suggestion was this crazy transfer window will be followed by a quieter january one than usual

It's why he's been given a 7 year deal, means they can spread the cost of signing him across all 7 years for FFP purposes. So essentially paying 10m a year for him in terms of those calculations, if my understanding is correct.

Assuming they are applying the Capitalisation and Amortisation method of accounting (most clubs do) then that is correct.

Real Madrid reportedly in negotiations for the new Brazilian wonderkid Endrick who has a buy out clause of around €60M.

If my internet research is correct then he just turned 16 and is yet to even play a first team game for Palmeiras yet.

Arthur Melo on his way to Liverpool from Juve on loan

Sounds like Aubameyang may be joining Chelsea for £5M+Alonso

Hmm. Had Melo down as a bit of a Fabinho, slow the game, pick and pass, box to box. Maybe that's what they need at the moment.

Separately, and linked to Liverpool only signing a loan midfielder for now, seems a verbal agreement may already be in place for Bellingham, and a deal expected to be inked in the new year for a move next summer.

Premier League's current net spend this window is almost €1.3bn.

Next biggest net spend: La Liga on €55m

Antony and Casemiro are two excellent signings. Malacia looked great against Liverpool too. Ten Hag has at least signed players (Eriksen too) who look like they should improve United.

This is why I cannot understand FFP. Apparently Arsenal are on the watch list now as close to breaching the rules, yet Arsenal were about 7th in the spending this summer up until a few days ago... How are Chelsea and also Forest not on any watch list? :|
