6ft Kerplunk
genome We were THIS close to watching Phil Neville managing Lionel Messi. ffs.

Fat Sam is loitering around the job centre though. Just think how good Messi could be once the best manager in the world ever gets to coach him.

Unfortunately for fat Sam it looks like Gerardo Martino has beaten him to the Inter Miami job.

I wondered why the Chris Wilder trail went cold about the same time Leeds started looking for a manager?

When Martino was appointed Barca manager there were loads of rumours Messi was involved and was demanding he was appointed. Now here they are again at Miami

Josh Wynder joins Benfica for $1.2M. Just turned 18 and plays for Louiville in the UCL, which is the 2nd division in the USA. Much hyped youngster.

I always thought the UCL was the United Counties League.

Jude Bellingham rejected offers from the Premier League's top 5 clubs before signing for Real Madrid. Manchester City (almost doubled his salary at Real Madrid), Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and United.

After a tortured few years at Anfield, Naby Keita returns to Germany, joining Werder Bremen on a free transfer.

A bit of talk that Arsenal are very close to sorting a deal for Declan Rice for around £90M basic and £10m+ in add ons

L'équipe Kylian Mbappé officially informed PSG, in a letter received this Monday afternoon, that he would not exercise the option of one more year (until 2025) in his contract.

Here we go again.

He literally can only go to 2 clubs - Man City or Real Madrid. Surely it will be the latter and you sense they are building some squad at Real Madrid.

precisely my thinking when I heard this. He wants to compete at the very top for all trophies, well that limits him to possibly 2 clubs. I don't see man City wanting/needing him, so that leaves Real Madrid, who already have one of the best wide left attacking players in the world. If Man Utd get taken over by that weird looking jassim guy then maybe something will be done there, but who knows.

maybe all his recent fannying about with longer contracts in france has left him in a position where the clubs he wants to join no longer have a need for him.

Though until last week he was reported to be in discussions with PSG over an improved contract. so maybe its all just games.

Can't see his ego allowing him to share the spotlight with Haaland. He's likely seen that RM are pressing hard with a rebuild and sees this as a more ideal time to join them than it was last summer.

PSG have said for a couple of years that the one club they won't sell him to is RM. From the RM point of view, do they risk leaving it for this summer and getting him for free next summer or try and sign him before his family, Macron, or the Emir of Qatar get in his ear again and he gets the chance to change his mind again.

timing makes sense with Benzema off and rumours of a big offer for Kane possibly going in. But Mbappe plays out on the left. why disrupt Vinicius like that?!

Can't see poor Harry going anywhere unless the Manchester United takeover happens pretty quickly. Think he is made for them.

The Hazard debacle probably has put RM off signing ageing players on the wrong side of 30 (when the season starts) from London clubs.

Rumours in the media that Liverpool are after Federico Valverde and Benjamin Pavard.

I know its not the most important matter, but I have noticed recently that Fabrizio 'Mr Transfer' Romano looks to have moved into the market of working for clubs/agents to push for transfers rather than just being the breaking news guy on transfers

https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1668753800155529217?t=IZa1UWpV48LO-HriN3Fomg&s=19

Maybe it's all a bit irrelevant anyway.

If I was an agent of a player with the ability to go to a top club, think I would be using Romano as pretty much anyone who is anyone in the game will likely follow or be aware of his feed.
