Stranded Unsurprisingly watch a lot of Bundesliga and Szoboszlai has been one of the standouts of the last couple of seasons - he is a quality player who should do very well in the PL.

Doesn't mean he will though but he is very good and should only get better.

Purely based on Fifa, I'm expecting Nkunku to be one of the best players in the league. Thoughts, feedback, concerns?

It's beginning to feel like somewhere around £60m for a player is the new £30m. Havertz, Nkunku, Tonali, Neves, Mount, Palace want £60m for Guehi. Liverpool looking at something in that ballpark for Lavia, having just spent the same on Szoboszlai.

Fees for Mac Allister (release clause?) and Kovacic look like absolute steals. Even Maddison looks decent business for Spurs at £40m.

That Tonali deal has gone under the radar a bit. That is a quality signing for Newcastle.

I'm really, really impressed with Howe and what Newcastle are doing. Tonali and Bruno is some midfield pairing.

100% the next England manager, he has been extremely impressive at Newcastle and silenced a lot of critics. Yes they have a lot of oil money but that in itself brings a lot of problems and pressures, he has coped magnificently.

Decent little article by The Athletic regarding United's hunt for a new striker, comparing players are "most like Harry Kane" and ironically Florian Balogun was top of the list. Would be an interesting one if they were to go for him with United having "limited" funds.

Al Khelaifi (PSG) states clearly that they will not allow themselves to get in a situation where Mbappé leaves for free next summer

“We do not want him to leave for free in 2024, it's impossible. We don’t want to lose the best player in the world for free”

“Our position is clear. If Kylian wants to stay, he needs to sign a new contract”.

Interesting. Another Real signing imminent then!

Being reported that Napoli have bid £35M for Max Kilman of Wolves, who Maidenhead have a 20% sell on fee attached

Would obviously be massive for the club, that's a decade of approximate turnover.

Fwiw, Kilman is the player in an odd (and frankly, a little shameful) situation where he is unable to represent Ukraine at international level (eligible by his parents) because he represented England when he was 18 in a competitive futsal match, and FIFA also govern that sport. Shevchenko made a formal application for this to be reviewed in 2021 and it was rejected.

I know I’ve been on holiday (and Wales is, you know, sometimes a little difficult with signals) but ai thought the Rice to Arsenal thing was done and now it appears not quite

anyone have any idea what’s happening ?
Any chance he may still choose to help out at the SCL ?

The nature of modern day transfer news I think. 15 years ago we would not have known it was happening until the last day or two, now you get to hear of it the day a club contacts another to ask if someone is available. By the time a big transfer is complete we have all heard about it for 2-4 weeks non stop

All this talk of Onana on his way to Man Utd. Surprised they have not gone for Maignan instead. He would cost more, and of course they don't just get to pick whoever they want, but just surprised we didn't hear of them at least trying to go in with a big offer for him.

Signing a goalkeeper is different to an outfield player. You pay what they are worth because you hope for them to be a mainstay in your team for many years to come.

FIFA is not the governing body for futsal whatever it may think, governance is actually through the Asociación Mundial de Fútsal (AMF), formerly FIFUSA. The two bodies have been arguing over who should be the sole governing body but can't resolve it. To my mind it should be the AMF as they were the original sole govenors until FIFA started muscling in, in the 1970s, in an attempt to promote its version of indoor football. Futsal is also a name copyrighted by the AMF in 1985 so FIFA can't use that name without paying the AMF for the privilege.

Sanguine Fabrizio says that a Liverpool deal to sign Dominik Szoboszlai from RP Leipzig is close. 22 year old Hungarian attacking midfielder, top 10 last season in Bundesliga for chances created.

Liverpool fans going mental over Dominik Szoboszlai saying it's the signing of the the season blah blah blah and he can driv ethem to challenge city.
Never heard of him.....but then the same people were saying Darwin was better than Haaland after the charity shield. Which shows their level of judgement.

Feel sorry for them in a way, they're promised one thing by their owners about how there'll be real investment in the team this summer but yet again they find themselves largely in the bargain basement while Arsenal, Utd, Madrid etc. are splashing cash yet again. Still you never know how any signings are going to pan out so you might as well be positive about things.

Completely missing the point of how Liverpool do transfer business. And if you've never heard of Dominik Szoboszlai, that's says more about you than him.
