I'm sure someone will say the keeper should have saved it but it was a cracking free kick tbf

England vs Scotland without Lampard on the pitch - drew 1-1
England vs Scotland with Lampard on the pitch - won 2-1

Lampard also now has the PL record for most number of opening day starting appearances (18)

It's the keepers side as well, but it is a great strike, it just shouldn't beat a top flight keeper from that distance.

Did I see Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard playing well together in the same team on Friday?

Only Moldova I guess.

Seemed to work better together. Perhaps because Gerrard has become a more rounded player and he can use that depth to carry Lampard now?

Tbf Zidane has just played a large part in a deal to sign Gareth Bale for £85m so his judgement isn't the best right now.

On a side note England really have sunk to a new low as a football nation when both Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard have over a hundred caps.

Same bloke who rates Gerrard as one of the best player in the world, if I remember correctly. Something about without him, other players can't shine.

Great minds and all that.

Never quite understand the whole money issue when attacking individual footballers. Who wouldn't take it ? Lampard has continually been written off and he looks as good as ever this season. Fair play to him.

How is kicking your wife and kid out of your millionaire mansion after spit-roasting a prostitute as gay-cover, great ambassadoring?

I'm more than curious. A lot like Frank.
