I have been wondering lately if there is a thing happening. More and more these days when a player is signed by a 'big' PL club, pretty quickly these superfan social media accounts start pumping out positive highlight reels and short videos of big moments, and they are put together as well as a company could do. In the summer when this happens you get a month of more or continual positive PR about someone before the season starts and between the signing and the them playing their first game the mindset has shifted on them from being a pricey signing that may come good to being an incredibly good piece of business and a player that is about to become a world beater

1. Is this just youngsters being good at video editing and being obsessed with their football club?
or
2. is this multibillion pound businesses paying money to 'independent' social media fan accounts to push out positive PR spin to help their image?

if its not 2 then some of these clubs should move towards it

Disappointed to see Milinkovic-Savic seemingly off to Saudi. First player to go there who is in their prime and could have gone to a top club.

Aston Villa sign Pau Torres. They are going to be pushing top 4 if not in it next season imo.

He's 28. Depending on the length of the contract, it may be his last chance of a huge contract. He's certainly in his prime, but he's likely to start declining in the near future.

Oh i dont mean disappointed in him, more than its the first real top prime age talent lost from Europe to Saudi.

Financially he goes from £70k a week, which is £2M take home a year in Italy, to a 3 year deal in Saudi giving him a total £60M take home over that contract. If he enjoys hot weather and is not fussed over things like LGBT rights, which I am not sure many Serbs are, then why not go for it

Jordan Henderson apparently giving serious consideration to a double your money offer to join Gerrard in Saudi. Could be seen as hypocritical if he goes.

Flamengo in talks to sign Sergio Ramos. Would be good to see a player in the twilight of their career try Brazil rather than America or Saudi Arabia.

Apparently, they're after Pogba too for $10m. Could spark a revival of South American club football on the international stage.

If Pogba goes to Brazil, the fans might kick some sense into him.

I remember Clarence Seedorf doing it near the end of his career when he was still looking decent. Raised a few eyebrows as he was being linked with some decent teams in Europe still. He married a Brazilian, spent quite a bit of time there already and said he had always wanted to play for a Brazilian club.

Take that back! Looks like he is indeed off for probably about £15-20m. What a way to end a career, still he and his family will all be able to retire after a year out there. Wonder if that's him done for England as well if he does go.

Not over for Liverpool either, there are strong rumours that Sicknote (Thiago) is off to Barcelona and Fabinho is heading for Al-Ittifaq for £40m.

If that lot does happen the the 'pool are going to be looking for probably another three or four players with rumours that Tchouaméni might be on their radar again.

Chewy would be a great addition … can’t wait to see the price

With the Rice transaction, Arsenal are now the biggest net spenders in England over the past 3 years, even surpassing Chelsea. Maybe they should stop being treated like plucky underdogs and actually feel the pressure to win things

Henderson has apparently agreed terms with al-Ettifaq but the Saudi club are still negotiating with Liverpool over the fee.

Fabinho hasn't gone to Germany for 'pool's preseason amid rumours he is in talks with al-Ittihad over a £40m move

Liverpool still in talks with Soton over Romeo Lavia and are thought to be in advanced discussions with Bayern for the services of defender Benjamin Pavard.

The loss of Henderson and Fabinho has also prompted suggestions in the media that Kalvin Phillips, Nicolo Barella and Kephren Thuram maybe subject to interest from the reds as well as defender Levi Colwill.

Elsewhere the Hammers are rumoured to be after Harry Maguire now Arsenal have provided a bit of spending money.

Aren't Newcastle close to breaking PL financial rules, sure I saw/heard something about it somewhere.

Yes, also read that they're looking/have to sell ASM so they can get Harvey Barnes.
