Palace fans are gettignt he chance to vote on their new club badge. Co-chairman Steve Parish said: "There will be a video feed going out next week which gives a bit of background history and the fans can vote on which crest they want, which is quite exciting.

"I just don't like the current one. It's not very good. It is hard to reproduce and doesn't lend itself to clothing or putting on other merchandise. It's not classy or stylish and is from a bygone era.

"We've got four modern pieces of design. There is one I like but we'll see what the fans say. We've already listened to what they had to say and we're going to evolve it."

While I applaud the idea to provide choice, this lot are rancid.

But you can be sure that there'll be no clear winner - and the one with the most votes will probably have no more than 40% of the total votes.

So Palace will end up choosing a badge that almost 60% voted against.

None of them are a patch on their current badge. With these polls where the club are looking to change something, I think they should offer an option for keeping the current badge. I bet that would get more than 40% of the vote!
