come on Villa, hold on to a draw (or better).

LOL at Sheff U losing 3-1 at Scunthorpe, with 3 ex RFC favourites in their line-up (except Blakey's just been subbed).

Actually, hold that LOL. Scunthorpe were one of the teams I've been telling myself we are going to manage to finish above this season. :o

Sunderland take the lead against Liverpool after (apparently) the ball hits a balloon and deflects in!

Nice to see our old "friend" Paul Rejer being fourth official for five minutes in the Villa - Chelsea match. He's let himself go a bit since retiring, though.

Reminds me of this...

Still, Liverpool had 85 minutes to undo that, a home defeat next weekend and Rafa could be in the same boat as Rodgers...

Probably not far off it. I've got a lot of time for Rafa, but to leave Mascherano on the bench with Gerrard and Torres already out, and to play someone like Jay Spearing, makes little sense at all (unless Spearing has genuinely been pulling up trees in the stiffs). Defeat next week at home to United and a) the league is as good as dead to Liverpool this season, and b) it'll be 5 defeats in 10 games, and Rafa's position may be under threat.

Means nothing now, but the Referees Association have confirmed the goal should not have stood.

Liverpool fan had thrown it onto the pitch beforehand...just pure bad luck for them!

Sunderland deserved to win from what I've seen/heard anyway.

As Hansen said, 2 make or break games coming up for Liverpool, and no it's not May, it's October.
They ain't got the players.

Yep, Liverpool never really in it. Spearing playing ahead of even a semi-tired Mascherano makes no sense.

Quality opening Arsenal goal by Van Persie.

We can throw the LOLZ at Chelsea but ... that's some christ awful defending on both goals.

Collins gets the free-est header ever there.
