Royal_Delight This is great news! I have no idea why people say this is not a good signing. Helped steer Ipswich away from relegation. 1 millions is a bit of a hefty price though.....

£1m in today's market isn't actually a great deal.

Don't get me wrong, he is quite the player but for £1m, maybe we could get a better striker? I believe there are some good strikers out there that are worth less than £1m.

I'd rather have Brett Pitman.

But there would be no one to chase for lost causes and runs throughout the whole game! Either Pittman or Murphy for me. Not both. Doesn't really look like a good partnership on paper but what do I know. :P

FiNeRaIn How do you know whose available, you have no idea.

I hope you weren't referring to murphy as young as he's 27....

Long has far better stats than Murphy. I would much rather that we kept Shane than sold him and bought Murphy. It would be a step backwards IMO.

If Long stays we don't need him and if Long goes we need a better replacement.

No, you don't.

You're a random fan and even if you know a few contacts you have absolutely NO WAY to measure which players in world football are out there within our price range. There is no possible way you know whose in the Scandinavian, Italian, south american, oceanic markets within our price range.

Get off your high horse and stop making a tool out of yourself.
