Bristol City manager Steve Coppell is considering going back to former club Reading with a move for 26-year-old midfielder Jay Tabb. However, it may take a bid of around £1 million to prise away the former Coventry player.

Unlikely we would go for that considering how versatile Tabb is. What is intriguing is the concept of Victor Moses being available on a season long loan. I would like this :)

Tabb didn't really get a run of games under Coppell in one settled position whilst here, okay they worked together at Brentford but don't think Tabb would be too keen on that

No chance.

Why would they sign Cisse if they could have Tabb?

Manager looking for players, website notes manager signed player for current club and makes tenuous link.

Tabb has to be a hot bet for our starting line up, so can't see this happening. We don't tend to sell sideways unless they aren't good enough to play for us regularly.

Agree with IR - why would we sell Tabb. It would make no sense at all unless he has made it clear he wants to leave - which I doubt.

"Only a few months ago, Victor Moses was the Championship's hot young thing. He moved to Wigan for £2.5 million from Crystal Palace on the final day of the January transfer window, and made 14 appearances for the Latics. However, he may now be heading back to the Championship, with Preston contemplating asking about a season-long loan."

LET'S DO IT.

I tend to agree with IR as well, I never saw the reason for bringing Tabb in when he arrived, but, he really produced in the second half last season, when he seemed to get the appetite for the Royals, would be very dissapointed if he was moved on, a little terrior with a great engine.

Is Moses a winger? if he is - get him in for if/when Jobi leaves us...

+1

I wanted to get Tabb's name on the away jersey when I come over there in December!
