Would be a decent signing imho - solid left back.

Remember him scoring an absolute scorcher a while back. Also remember him having a shocker when we stuff Sheff Wednesday by something like 6-0. To avoid argument I am making no further comment.

What I like about the rumours/gossips board now we are down in the Championship is that the rumours/gossips all now sound somewhat plausible, and that's no bad thing.

Spurr was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Where he played for Seacroft Colts AFC as a youngster. He joined Sheffield Wednesday at a young age and worked his way up through the academy before signing for them full time in 2004 and in his first season established himself in the reserves and won a place on the bench for the first team. He was named Academy player of the year in the 2004–05 season and made his first team debut against Reading on 22 April 2006. He was awarded Sponsor's Man of the Match for his performance.

Well MOTM on your professional debut can't be bad...

Depends if it's all downhill from there.

FWIW he's always seemed decent enough, nothing spectacular, when I've seen him. Would probably slot into the team well enough but not exactly an exciting signing.

Not sure who I want for LB though, quality ones seem few and far between.

Bertrand won't be coming back and that's where my benchmark is for a left back. If they sign a new left back I guess we still have no chance of a cheeky loan, still, must be time for him to move on.

Aaron Cresswell would be a decent option, but he wouldn't be cheap (£4m+ being reported?) and Ipswich look like they're getting in better shape. Tommy Spurr would be ok, if not a little underwhelming.

Otherwise a loan from a Premier League team (e.g. Jack Robinson?) who if they did well we might struggle to keep, similar to Bertrand.

I hear Joe Mills is up for sale?

Parr maybe? Not sure if he is around the first team for Crystal Palace?

Donny play good football so if they want to keep him, then he sounds at least an interesting possibility. But I'm always slightly disappointed with players who gain promotion and move to a new club at the same level they've just got promoted to. Even if the ones he's linked to have significantly better prospects than Donny.
