Bookies have Bilic as clear favourite at 5/2.

Someone will take a punt on him at some point, but Cardiff feels very much like a frying pan/fire situation in the making.

Which is probably why Cardiff are interested.

...a number of names have been discussed, one of whom is Ruben Selles.

He will certainly form a chunky segment of the hierarchy's discussions.

it is understood that it is increasingly unlikely that the 56-year-old Bookmakers' favourite Slaven Bilic , who is back home in his native Croatia, will take the job.

Article then has a huge list of managers who may or may not be approached/interested etc - Selles seems to be there as he recently said he was a bit fed up in a recent interview

Pulis seems to be high on their want list at the moment.

Cardiff wouldn't be a good move for Selles. No disrespect to them but he can do far better

Well judging by his interview yesterday he`s saying "come and get me" clearly had enough, and who can blame him?

Cardiff are doing rather well with their temporary manager so he could well get the job.

I don’t think Selles is going to Cardiff

Next Coventry Manager Odds:

The only other manager with a 10/1 or shorter price with any bookmaker at the time of writing is Reading coach Ruben Selles (10/1), best known for an ill-fated spell with Southampton between February and May 2023 when he recorded just two wins from 17 matches.

I guess we should be pleased that they are focussing on his failure (which was hardly all his fault given what he took over) rather than his fantastic achievements with us, given the challenges he has had repeatedly thrown at him!

I'd take Robins if Selles was to go, the chairman at Coventry seems like a right idiot, from what I read yesterday "The chairman did everything he could to undermine Robins. Got rid of his assistant. Brought in new coaches. Appointed a woman with a background in swimming & a doctorate in engineering as head of football. The telling part is the statement "the new appointment will have the title Head Coach rather than Manager"

Would suggest Lee Carsley would be their obvious target.

They’ll get hammered at Sunderland tomorrow and then the Coventry fans will lose it and really go for the chairman - apparently he’s already baled on a promised fan’s forum there next week, turning it instead into an email only affair.
