The Cube Regardless of attendances next season, remember that this is a club that couldn't even fill Withdean in the seasons when they weren't winning...

Anyway, Fordham on Twitter (although I guess no-one would automatically believe anything on there):
Checked out rumours of Karacan to #bhafc and as expected there is no truth in it at all

Why do people take Fordhams word as gospel?

Ian Royal The only things in their favour are if they can/will pay him more and having the momentum from promotion which just might carry them through to a high finish, especially with buzz created by a new stadium finally.

Sad times if brighton can pay more than Reading who have received 37 million in transfer fee's plus parachute payments since relegation from the prem. I really would roll laughing at the prospect if I thought there was an ounce of truth in this rumour.

I don't. I take Ferris' word. I think he's already said twice on here there is no truth in this rumour.

Wow, just read the hatred towards us on their forum.

If they truly were bigger than us, as so many on there claim, they wouldn't give a shit about us.

was told by a Albion fan today (who had done the tour at the weekend) that not only have they sold all STs, they have now sold all match-day tickets in advance - so assume they will fill it every week.

btw - it is not a 'bowl'

Don't agree brendy.
Taking your factors into account I make it :-
Leicester>>>>>Brighton>>>>Reading.
Remember that we have only ever had 2 years at the top level and have NEVER appeared in an FA or League Cup final.

Don't the location, transport problems and general all-round shittiness of the Withdean get taken into account?

Agree ....Brighton have a big fan base ...they arent going to move to a 20k plus stadium if they dont think they are going to get near to capacity...dont think you can use Withdean as a barometer tbh for the reasons that SC has stated

Wasn't it the late 60s early 70s that we played at the Goldstone in front of 30,000 plus for a Div 3 game? IIRC, Bobby Williams was asked about the attendance and he said that it felt like they were all iin Reading's penalty area. IMHO, Brighton traditionally is a bigger club than Reading. What matters, is where each club finishes the following season. I for one have a feeling they could go straight up.

Most teams "traditionally" are bigger than Reading; not difficult really, is it?

But what about the last 10 or 15 years? We have been more succesful than Brighton and many other teams over that period of time, and not due to massive wads of cash being poured in either. I'm personally more than happy with what we have achieved, and don't give a monkeys what supporters of other clubs think.

Good luck to BHAFC; they ARE potentially - as we are - a biggish regional club, with the potential for large gates due to their catchment area. I'm pleased they have moved to a new stadium - the club, its fans and the area deserves it - and I look forward to visiting their new stadium this season.

Rivals? Only in as much as we are in the same division (unless you can REALLY be bothered to get all hot and bothered about 10 years ago in League 1 of course!).

Oh, and using this thread to enable you to spout homophobic nonsense might make you feel like a real man, but it just shows that you are a bellend (and probably a latent homosexual who is too scared about what his mates will say to come out).

sorry- im applying a progressive dividing algorythm that reduces the impoprtance of your successes according to the number of years ago they were.

On the basis of trophies won, trips to Wembley blah blah then Newcastle are a small club, but they're not! They're one of the countried biggest clubs.

In the present day based on growth during say the last 10-15 years, Reading is currently a bigger club than Brighton and many others in the Championship.

Next season though Brighton's average att. will wee all over ours but again it's only a 22k capacity, and they have the momentum from last season and the excitment and new facilities of the new stadium to bring back old supporters and new familes - plastic support as the Brighton fans like to call ours, even though our support has steadily grown for over 10 years now, rather than over night - cough!

All this Big Club bollox. Why does anyone really give a toss, it;s results that matter, nowt else.

If brighton fans feel that makes them better than us, then so be it. Let them think what they want, as stated already in this thread I would have taken our clubs furtunes over the last 10-15 years over theirs.
