Makelele was a bit of a one off though - you wouldn;t be able to take a midfielder and tell him to play that role, it just what Makelele did.

All we are looking for is one midfielder who can tackle and one who can pass.

IS the curse of Championship Manager to blame for these pseudo abbreviations ?

Royalee Of course as usual you twist things as he may come here and do well like Salako or Watson or Little under Pardew and decide he quite likes the place and decide to stay, yet we have a get out clause if he's rubbish (which he isn't given what I've seen of him).

that is also true(and my lose lose is a tad over the top as i forgot to mention if he does well, then all the points are for us!)

though remind me of the clubs salako/watson/little were at, when we loaned them?
that makes it totally different in my eyes

just saying,IMO its pretty unlikely he'll want to stay on.

So you think that if he does well in the Championship then Ancelotti's going to play him all of a sudden at the expense of Essien, Mikel, Lampard and Ballack?

that just depends which of those players is still there at the end of the loan, and how well he did for us silly

Deathy
Would love Scotty Sinclair while we're at it too.

I saw him in action in Marbella and he has some serious moves on the dance floor.

Isn't it getting on for about a decade since Chelsea last gave one of their youngsters a chance in John Terry?

Before they bombed him out to Villa and Charlton? Possibly...not during Roman's reign though.

Yeah, that's why they've imported foreigners like Kakuta and Di Santo to play in it.

It doesn't anywhere near as much as it does at Chelsea or Man United or Arsenal.

Roman bought Chelsea in 2003, Cole left in 2006 and played 12 games in 2005-6.

He started a whole 4 league games in his Chelsea career... you see I think that is relevant.

then you should have worded the question properly

or at least defined what you constitute as a "chance"

I thought 'chance' would be assumed as a decent run in the side, but I guess I will have to dumb down everything I say on here for some posters as they don't have the common sense required to understand some of the points I make.
