andrew1957 How do you know we have not already snapped up Harding.

I suspect we won't hear of any players coming until someone is leaving. The club are likely to hold back "good news" to offset the bad news of players departing. Harding may well have signed for us before leaving for his hols.

Signing a back up left back isn't gonna make up for losing our best player.

Agree Harding could still sign, just thought would would have heard something by now though.

Fair play, although I still stick with Rosenior being the much much bigger weak link than Armstrong and Bertrand may yet be there for the left wing*

Armstrong is OK and gutsy, my MotS, but he has had a long-term injury problem.

We don't know how much he carries that injury and maybe long-term managers know he's a liability?

I think Rodgers likes his full backs to bomb down the wing, its not really Armstrongs strong point - i can see this new fella getting the nod each week.

It may not be his strongest point, but it is one of the better parts of his game. Armstrong used to be a winger.

Harding signed for Southampton.

12.28 Alan Pardew has made his first signing as Southampton manager by snapping up former Brighton, Leeds and Ipswich full-back Dan Harding.
