SteveRoyal Pearce could be the ideal replacement for Ivar if he continues to improve in training. I'm sure he knows what his flaws are and will work on them during his time out of the side.
Just like Sigurdsson knows he has a mean shot on him, but doesn't track back as much as is necessary.
Church has fantastic movement and work rate, but not such a good shot (yet).
Young players improve their games with time.

rg6royalSteveRoyal No!
Future to the spine of our team, I think.
The spine being: Pearce, Karacan, Sigurdsson, Church.

West Stand Flash Agree apart from pearce - He is awfully average, with no pace.

UpNorth The Blades will spend to replace Killgallon and one of the names in the frame to replace him is Mills - no mention of Pearce.
Although they have sold Killa for £2m there is a sell on fee and any offer for Mills is likely to be well below this figure. I guess we would sell if a seven figure bid came in.

Zammo If we sell Pearce, then you might as well scrap the Academy. Actually, what's the point in supporting your 'local club'. Whatever your views on Pearce (I happen to think he's got plenty of potential), he has been poorly mismanaged this season. That clown Rodgers put far too much pressure on him (calling him the new John Terry and giving him the vice-captaincy).
With the entire team struggling, it is going to affect a young raw defender more so than a up and coming striker (Church gets less stick, yet misses more than Andy Cole).

brendywendy surely the key to the defensive improvement is teh addition of a CB with some pace in mills. either ivar or pearce would improve with that next to them- the other combo is like playing with two ivars
