The question was simple. Are you speculating about the terms of his contract being that we had the option to extend without his need to sign on to it further, or have you got some inside knowledge?

It's what an 'option' means.

If he had to sign up to it then it's not an 'option'.

With Gylfi we offered him an extended deal which he chose to accept.

With Antonio his contract was AFAIK 2 years with a 1 year option for us. So after 2 years we can chose to exercise the option and he canlt refuse it.

It's how lots of property contracts work and I'm surprised you are struggling so much with a fairly basic concept. You don;t need to know the exact terms of the specific contract to know what it means for us to have taken up our option.....

Also the club specifically stated this when the contract was extended. No inside knowledge was required.

You know Sun, it wouldn't have been hard to just say that the terms of the contract were publicised rather than trying to turn a perfectly reasonable post questioning your certainty about specific terms of a contract into a ghey off.

I was never questioning how the term would be legal or operated, just how you could know whether it existed or not. But of course, instantly you leap on the offensive and go off on tangents.

It would have been hard to say that, as until Wycombe pointed it out I hadn't realised that it had been included in the club statement !!!

Of course you had to assume I was just being awkward....

I'd also point out that I didn;t go on the 'offensive', you chose to interpret a bland post as such and started getting uppity at 12.08.

Not sure what tangent you perceive, the discussion has been about the contract.
