But if he did it wouldn't be a major leap to have him playing just behind one striker in a 4-4-1-1. Not a massive tweak to the way we play but may well be the spark we need to turn a very average season in to a decent one.

If we don't get to the playoffs and even less likely, promotion, we're really back at square one as there's no way he'd be with us past May. Again for the long-term it wouldn't be a good move because unless we can find a like-for-like replacement for £0 in June, it's another pre-season of adaptation.

It'd give Taylor time to develop on loan and maybe come in and start making the role his own the next season.
