winchester_royal Stephen HUNT HUNT HUNT

Yay. Then I could sing my little song on my own again...

No-well, No-well, No-el, No-el
Noel is a Hunt, so is Stephen as well.

Would think that's the last place we need to strengthen tbf.

Assuming of course we aren't going to lose one or two of McAnuff, HRK, Kebe, Obita...

Seen him play a couple of times. Good player, would scare the arse off most Championship full backs.

I love players with pace. I would love this signing even more knowing Leeds want him and appear confident he will turn us down for them.

A guy I work with is a Motherwell fan and doesn't think Humphrey is good enough to play in the Championship. He said the same about Noel Hunt though.

Noel Hunt hardly set The Championship alight did he?
Seems an odd signing if they get him. 25 years old, played for Shrewsbury and Motherwell. Says he's a Jamaican International but has only played twice. Kicked out of squad.

Surely Reading should be looking at better players than this?

And they will be, but we wont exactly go out and spend £2m on each of the 4-5-6 players we need! By your thinking we should never have brought in Ingimarsson (a failure at Wolves), Sonko, S.Hunt, Harte etc etc.

4-5-6 players? I don't think Reading need numbers, they need more quality. :|

Fail.

TBH im pretty confident that NA knows what he's doing.

A pacey winger at a good age and free. Might be to suppliment what we have or in preperation for when Kebe, HRK leave.

Im sure NA has more of an eye for a player that BMD anyway

Basil's been manager here two months and you're sure he has a better eye for a player than the guy who scouted and signed some of the best players in the clubs history.

A myth

BMD was shocking at signing players. Could count on one hand the players that have actually been worth signing

Noel Hunt didn't set it alight, no, but it's a bit harsh to suggest that he isn't good enough for the Championship at least.

I guess if the club have properly scouted him, then we have to trust their judgement. And as he's available on a free, it's a relatively low risk. My first thought was that we should be aiming for players of a higher calibre though.

Given that Leeds are also trying to sign this guy the relative merits of Brian's and Nigel's eye for players is pretty irrelevant here.
