DOYLERSAROYALER Sign of the times when we cant even compete with Div 1 teams in transfer market

On what basis are we competing for the signature of Stock? Rodgers was obviously interested but he has gone and we have plenty of midfielders.

Also Stock is a Southampton fan and comes from there, so the move for him wouldn't be about money.

Stock has been mentioned a number of times as a possible target, both under Coppell as well as Rodgers ...the fact that he has been linked during both managers reigns, would suggest that McDermott may have identified him in his role of chief scout, as a player Reading would be interested in.....and Rodgers interview when asked about Stock, made it pretty evident that this wasnt just paper talk.

However getting back to point, we cannot compete in the transfer market as we do not have funds to - the point Im raising is about our ability to buy a player, and not what a players personal terms would be

Robbie Fowler has been mentioned repeatedly as a target, doesn't mean ought.

We still don't need another midfielder and it's pretty obvious to me we weren't seriously after him.

For effs sake IR - as if Robbie Fowler was a serious consideration ! - Get your head into gear, and whatever you think , I will always think the opposite because the diatribe you come out with is usually skipped by me unless you are responding directly to one of my posts

And the latest is that Southampton are contemplating a £1.5m bid. Of course, it has been denied!

I agree with Ian. Brian is too similar to howard and sig. Plus centre mid is our strongest position. We dont need him and to splash that amount of money in that position is just plain stupid.

I like Ian Royal and i think he gets a rough ride from people on here, his posts are sensible and logical which is very unlike DOYLERSAROYALER.

Why/how would we be able to buy Brian Stock? Maybe under Rodgers we mighht have gone for him if we sold Marek but to be honest, i'd rather sell Marek and not buy another central Midfielder. We have midfielders in abundance and i'd much rather we concentrated to making up rumours about left wingers or permanent right back.

I strongly doubt rodgers would have gone for him. It was either howard or stock and he made his choice.

I can take it, so I don't mind being given a hard time. Every attack on me just tells me people don't have any coherant argument against my post.
