IMAMATEOFJOVSKY In some ways I do hope we lose this deal , because then all the RTGs will realise that we are a tight fisted, no ambition club, heading south!

How do you work that out??????

We've already paid 2 million for one player, and have now matched the 1.8 million asking price for Smith.

That aint tight fisted you bloomin muppet.

You talk sheite anyway - we are tight fisted - history shows we are and thats why where we are as a club now!

We also probably needed to wait until Hunt and BK had left in order to fund the move.

No no, can't buy that. Not with the sale of Doyle already. They knew early one we would lose the other two.

Doyle and HUnt were both on 30k a week last year. So over 1.5m a season each

instead of getting £250,000 per tv game on sky, we get £40,000 for being the home team and £10,000 for the away team.

we made a massive loss last year and had to sell these players just to balance the books

Most unreliable source ever but... my mate who works about 300m away from watfords ground and had a look round during his lunch break swears he saw a few reading boards personalised registration plates parked up outside the ground about 2:15 this afternoon and didnt leave till around 6 8)

it just took a month to offer what watford were asking for
So what??? I don't know if you've heard of a concept called negotiation, but 1.8 million is a lot of money, and Hammond was right to try and make sure we paid as little as possible, obviously that hasn't worked out, but it was still worth the effort.

We also probably needed to wait until Hunt and BK had left in order to fund the move.
