Alan Partridge Paul Smith is one of the best goalkeepers in the division if not the best, he's hardly 'old' and now Camp has just swapped the bench at QPR behind a 34 ear old keeper to try and dislodge Smith. A very peculiar transfer. If Smith isn't wanted there then Calderwood seriously has lost the plot.

Julian Speroni >> Paul Smith

Smith played under Coppell before, so why not sign him if Camp displaces him?

Not for me, amount of tap ins inside the 6 yard box against Palace was almost actually it was embarassing.

I'd probably put Speroni in the top 5 or 6 keepers in this league, but Smith > Speroni imo.

agreed
Smith > Speroni
smith would be a good replacement for USA imo

if forest make camp a permanent sigining he will want first team football
would present us with a good chance to sign smith

if camp is not permanently signed by forest we should get him instead

Hoop Blah

I realised that you'd probably picked that up from the club site, hence the "you're swallowing the clubs PR" comment, but is that the extent of your knowledge?

If so, do you still think, as you originally argued, that he's achieved more in Denmark (not Sweden) where he's "loved" than Hamer has over here?

Seems to me that you were just making it up to sound clever.

"Loved" according to a few Danish people on another forum I use.

Well I hope they're a more reliable source than your other online sources of information on this one! I'd be amazed if many people had heard of him in Denmark let alone loved him.

Don't forget that Jamie Young was adored and loved by many on this forum after just a few minutes and one save against Stoke.

The moral of the story is don't believe everything you read, especially on the internet!

Given that he is the youngest ever goalie to play in the danish league, and that Peter Schemeichel said he was the best young goalie in Denmark, i'd say they have probably heard of him.

winchester... did he say "best young goalie in Denmark" or "best young Danish goalie"?

Hoop... my other online sources of information are generally very accurate. I posted that Karacan interview that was on the OS a few weeks ago before it had been posted (actually, I posted the information that was in it). Anyway, I definately trust this guy, and he's DEFINATELY heard of Andersen. He's the Danish researcher for FM... I know you probably have an image of their researchers being biased fools but most of them are really professional. His knowledge of Danish football is probably greater than this forum's combined knowledge of English football.

Hoop Blah
...

In my opinion Hamer's acheived a lot more over here than Andersen ever did over there or over here. He's been number one at two seperate clubs and one of them's come back in to take him back for another season because he impressed so much. He's part of a defence at Brentford that's conceded only 4 goals in 10 league games.

The two clubs that have had Andersen on loan, at a lower level, have only used him 3 times and don't seem to want him back.

Shame he let in three last night - anyone here seen them?

Alan Partridge Camp >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cerny

There *could* be some truth in this, Hahnemann at 37 only has a year's contract left, maybe they will loan Federici out for the season and then have Camp and Federici next year?

Only thing is he'd swap the bench at QPR for the bench here almost certainly.

He's a good keeper regardless and QPR are idiots for not playing him imo.

Cerny played well for Tottenham and QPR against us.
He's a good keeper.

With him saying he thinks he has played his last game on loan to forest, and he impressed me when i saw him play(on tv mostly). But on loan to us, as back up, or even challenging for a starting place?

If Federici gets injured, i think we are screwed goalkeeper wise personally, unless they sign me of course. or not...

I'd love us to come in for Camp.

His time at Forest would seem to be over. He has a bit of history with BD, and so does Earnshaw for that matter.
