Brogue selles on incomings in last nights post-match interview

"At least one player before Saturday. We also have the usual challenges within the club, so we need to make the things happen. We are working hard to make it happen

So that says to me expect another embargo as we arent paying the tax bill again. If we don't sign anyone before Friday that's our window closed me thinks

It wouldn’t surprise me tbh, but maybe he’s talking more about convincing clubs to allow players to join us etc. because of the financial issues we have been facing. It might not necessarily mean that the the tax bill won’t be paid.

Can't imagine even Dai would make it known that he won't be able to pay the next tax bill before the event. Would also expect him and/or the club to be working with HMRC to find a mutually agreeable solution whereby the club gets a bit more time or flexibility in paying up each month. Still no excuse for regular bills like this not to be able to be covered properly though, just shows that Dai's cashflow is poor and/or badly organised.

HMRC won't consider any special arramgements for a football club already on their shit list.

Interested in what Vic has heard...

NGW, ? And ? out?

Shame, that would leave us very short at LB. He's not the best defender, but he's good going forward.

Is John Clarke’s natural position LB? He has looked okay in cameo appearances when I have seen him. He could be a good backup option to Carson.

South Coast Royal Some rumours floating around including 3 fairly unexpected departures plus a winger/striker and yet another keeper to come in.

No sorry, you can't do that - what have you heard?

Pretty calm about any departures esp if the fees stop any issues with tax etc.

Don't want to be precious about it but sorry it is only rumour and if the rumours have any substance you are not far off.

With Carroll and Holmes both out of the squad entirely yesterday, would be a surprise if there has been interest in both of them incl. the possibility of a bid or two. Bouzanis leaving is a matter of time, Pereria is obviously hanging around based on that.

Blackburn allegedly interested in McIntyre - think both he and Holmes moving on would be good for their careers at this stage and we now seem well stocked at CB.

If players do leave, I wonder if Bowen would try and get a player in return for any of them - cash plus a loanee or even a perm signing.

Ye-es although I think he's more of a McIntyre LCB/LB than Carson and NGW's LB/LWB.

We can rely too much on the youth...

The thing with Holmes or McIntyre is that they could both move to the Championship, double their money and still be on pretty average wages for the league so I can see why there would be interest in them even just as squad players despite their form over the past 2 years.

Sadly, think the issue would more likely be with the younger players attracting the interest (e.g. NGW, Vickers, Carson etc.)

Someone on Twitter saying NGW, Carroll and Holmes have been told to find new clubs, so guessing that's who Vic is talking about. Would make sense as they weren't in the squad last night and probably best for all parties, albeit leaving us weak at LB. Also suggested that NGW had a big row with Selles after the game, which quite frankly, he hasn't earned the right to do.

Was it Vic?

Sounds quite likely anyway

Be disappointed with NGW if that’s the case. Agree not earned any right to do that despite the fact I quite like him as a player

Surely if this bit is true

NGW had a big row with Selles after the game

How come NGW didn't also have a "big row" with Ince when Baba was starting ahead of him? Would take Twitter rumours like this with a pinch of salt as from afar he doesn't appear to be the type but who knows...
