No club, unless they are totally desperate, is going to be interested in him until this time next year when the end of his contract gets in sight.

He mentioned he would be considering his future, so I hope this true. The sooner him, Drenthe and Guthrie fcuk off the better.

I think he got interest last year but turned it down to earn loads more for nothing here.

He may want to resurrect his international career for the euros and he's got little hope doing that on the bench for the next 18 months here.

And he may feel he'll struggle to get a deal anywhere after that.

Personally i think he'll see it out and go back to Russia, but it would be amazing to shift both him and drenthe early.

I'd love to see us being able to utilise Pog's wages elsewhere but it's Winston Bogarde all over again. i think you're right. He'll see out the contract. More fool Anton for committing us to such a ridiculous contract.

Perhaps he could go and we subsidise his wages, like Man City did with Adebeyor for a couple of seasons. Would get some of his wages off our wage bill. Even if someone paid him £20k a week and we paid the rest it would still save us about £1.5m over the course of the next 18 months, and pay for most of Murray's wages. Could be a good solution.

We are on course for a loss already, anything we could save on wages cannot be spent elsewhere, not in a sensible world. Where a fine would follow under FFP.

But that money is accounted for already, and we are already under the limit. So....

Yes. I'd suggest the club would just say we'll do no business if it was that bad to manage expectations.

We need to be careful and next years wages need to be lower, but we can do a lot through renegotiating (or not) expired contracts. Some sales are a possibility too.

If we can shift Pog and / or Drenthe early, in Jan, we're ahead of the game.

A properly movtitated Pog is good enough to play in the prem, there must be one of the teams at the bottom willing to take a punt. It's a pity Warnock left Palace, he always likes to sign every striker available.

If Warnock was there he'd want them both, and 10 other strikers.

It would in many ways be terrific if we were fined under FFP as only clubs who overspend and get promoted are fined. The punishment otherwise is a sort of transfer embargo.

To fine someone for being too much in debt would be a little counter productive.

Murray to us? ...definitely take that

Pog to Palace? dunno if they'd take him ...they're not doing too well but they're still PL.

And anyway he's started to remind me of a large Russian Simon Church. ..runs about a lot ....poor 1st touch. ..doesn't hold the ball up very well ...scores the occasional goal.
