Well that appointment seems to have been a waste of everyone's time then!

*sigh*. Hope it's not true. I weirdly had optimism at the end of the season; I thought Bowen's night at Blue Collar pointed to a turned corner and brighter future. Since then, no communication, no manager and now key members of our non-playing team being poached.

On the face of it, a promotion for him in both role and division, so shouldn't reflect badly upon us. But just feels like the return of a malaise.

I had kept the 1st weekend in August clear to show my support for us in L1 wherever the opening fixture is, but if we're just going to keep operating the Dai way but in a lower division I see no point.

Definitely an overreaction to the news in isolation, but the optimism has been punctured

Not good news

Not as bad as the Twitter crew are making out but not good

Thought he’d be a key part of a new structure

Are people overreacting? Wilder debacle, no communication re: relegation, CB apparently sold with no comment from the club and now this. We were sold a vision that we had a better way of doing things now, but we're yet to see any evidence to back it up. And if we keep operating as we have for the past 6 years, we're not at the bottom yet.

You would think they will have to pay compensation, and don`t they need permission to talk to him the same as a manager?

We got relegated. This sort of thing happens. If he's being poached it shows signs our staff recruitment is getting better.

Not ideal, but it's not like we can do any serious scouting in the close season. We should have everything we need to work on our targets with or without him right now.

I'll worry when we make shit appointments, not when someone is trying to steal someone.

I imagine that losing valuable members of staff is a direct consequence of relegation.

No, everything is fine. The people on here who are so eager to show how "sensible" they are and that anyone who disagrees is just an overeacting idiot are all saying that nothing is wrong. Despite all the evidence over the last 5-10 years of incompetence from top to bottom providing plenty of evidence to the contrary.

and yet previously the same poster was telling us how terrible we were. It's like disagreeing with people is what he lives for.

This makes a lot more sense now we're learning that Bowen is on "compasionate leave" ... They're all deserting a sinking ship!

Agreed.

The transfer window opens shortly and we need to recruit virtually a whole new squad. We don't have a manager and now our Head of Recruitment is apparently leaving! To me that's a pretty shyte situation to be in and fully justifies the reactions it's getting. If anything, maybe we're underreacting. Supporters at many other clubs would've gone ballistic by now/

you know what compassionate leave is right? its usually taken when a death in the family happens. why would him being on compassionate leave mean he's leaving? I'm not understanding the leap you are making between compassionate leave and leaving, please explain

Right then, where do we go to demo? Can we get a 100000 signature petition to parliament so MPs have to discuss it?
