From what I saw there are a few Championship clubs after him too. Can't see us having the pull to bring him to Reading.

Seems there’s a bit more in it according to the72.co.uk (yes aware it’s not great)

But lots of clubs looking at a loan - Cardiff, Wigan, Portsmouth, Swansea, Rotherham mentioned, but apparently we are in talks about a perm deal and it seems to think we’re in a strong position for some reason

Interesting - obvs not sure how reliable this is

Think Reading have as good a chance of landing him as any of those other teams and perhaps more so given the club will presumably sell themselves as a project under someone who seems to be a highly rated young coach. He'd possibly get more 1st team starts at Reading too.

A permanent deal would mean a transfer fee though but not sure what United would want for him, you presume it'd be £1m+ but then they let Brebner go for next to nothing (about £350k) all those years ago.

If we're looking at a permanent deal, it looks like something may be afoot with the EFL and our soft embargo. Or the permanent rumours are rubbish.

Maybe his dad could apply some influence. After all, aren’t we his second favourite club?

Is he any good.?
We would be a step up from Forest Green as some sort of gradual progression so it might be a starter.

Know nothing about him, and not much stats to go on.

1 goal in 13 starts isn't great, but arlt 19/20 not a big worry. Good passing details. Not too bad on losing the ball.

If it was a choice between him and Azeez / Camara / Ehib, reckon I'd choose them as free known quantities, but it doesn't have to be and we're very short in midfield.

Not that short, Hutch is 6'0" for starters.

Suppose depends who he thinks can do a job there as well. Keep looking at CBs so maybe Hutch and McIntyre are lined up for CM. Mbengue possibly as well. Ejaria as well if he is still alive.

Not ideal imo but particularly the first two could do a good job (if they could stay fit)

This one may have legs, now agreed on a fee (if any) to sign him.

Free transfer with a hefty sell on, I'd imagine.

Looks like the real deal.

Excellent business - I heard Utd were partly thinking about the player's career, as what is a £0.5m fee to them really? What is the sell on likely to be? 30%? 40%?

Zidane Iqbal has a 40% sell on and he went for £1m.

I doubt we've got much money to spend so I wouldn't be surprised if we've agreed to 50%.

Surprised to see it's a permanent deal actually with a sell on fee. Not sure how much the sell on fee would benefit United really, can't imagine we are going to sell him on for a massive fee or anything. Even if it happened to beat our record fee, even a 50% sell on clause isn't much to them. Every little helps I suppose.
