SPECULATION - Willo Flood

by bigmike » 10 Aug 2009 14:45

Celtic midfielder Willo Flood says a lack of first-team football could see him consider his future at the club.

He would do well with Reading ... He and Noel Hunt used to link up well when they were both at Scumdee UTD

Like we need another midfielder. Mind, I said that when Pardew signed Sidwell

In some cases he has a valid point. Quite a few of their players are Championship standard, and not top Championship always either.

Having seen Celtic play the top european clubs, home and away, they faired similar to how we did against the top clubs when we were in the prem. So i'd say. Spot On.

LOL again. Celtic would comfortably beat reading- on a consistent basis. I can't believe you are comparing a team who beat man united in the champions league, with a decent home record in europe.... to someone who couldn't win at home in the championship for at least 1 third of last season.

Based on his Cardiff spell, he is not an improvement on the current lot.

No, No, thrice no...nowhere near good enough for us. Not saying we're uber-good or anything, but he's never been a player that I've though we should pounce for at any time.

Champions League. If Celtic were in the prem they wouldn't even qualify.

We beat Liverpool, and I believe they would fare similar to how we did in our two seasons in top flight isnt the top 4. Sure they are more consistant and would probably finish around the Villa's & City's, but they are far from being on a par with Utd, and hardly Light Years in front of us.

Rangers sell their star players for the benches of Aston Villa and Tottenham.

So do Reading.

Rangers finished above Celtic with their worst team in ages (including Kyle Laffery and Kenny Miller).

Therefore...

Reading are nowhere near Celtic, even the best Reading team of 3 seaosns ago wouldn't have been able to qualify out of a Chamions League group to get to the last 16 two seasons in succession beating all the top teams in Europe at home on a regular basis, if you think Reading could achieve that then pass the pot-pipe mate coz you're in dreamland

I liked what I saw of him against the Arse the other night, I'd fancy him on a loan or a permanent. Has said that he's unhappy sitting on the bench at Parkhead....Good replacement for Marek should he go IMO
