RUMOUR - Lee Tomlin

by Isaac Hunt » 10 Dec 2009 12:52

I work with a Rushden & Diamonds STH. He seems to think that we're interested in their attacking (left-sided) midfielder Lee Tomlin.

Reckons he's the best player in the conference. Anyone on here seen him play before? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Tomlin

LMFAO! No way is he oxf*rd 20! He looked about 33 a couple of weeks ago. Stone or years I'm not sure.

Handy and skillful player that is too good for the conference, but he makes Howard look whippet thin. I can't see him being good enough for the championship. We have a far better player in Davies out on loan.

best player Rusden have by a country mile though.

Sounds like he will be the right "DNA" for BR then.

Doesn't look too fat to me - anyway hasn't everyone been going on for years about how fat Andy Reid and Lee Trundle are, but both of them seem to be doing very well this season.

I had been wearing my contacts all day and they were on the way out, but he looked pretty chunky to me a couple of weeks ago at the Abbey.

Murts is Lej might be able to shed some more light on the situation. He saw the game as well.
TBF to the guy he was the stand out player in the game pulling all Rusden's strings and the only decent player they had.

Although Cambridge's right back was utterly woeful. I mean Bodin bad.

I think you may have added a new pejorative adjective to the English language:
"Absolutely Bodin awful".

I like it! :P

He'd make Cummings look good enough to go to the World Cup. Seriously he didn't put a foot right all evening.

Would he play in midfield or on the wing?
Having said that, he's probably only "one for the future".

Not a traditional winger IMO, I think he could play wide left or centrally. League One is about his level at best for the next few years at least.

So he could be one for the future then ?

If we get relegated of course.

You sound like a professional scout - you working for a club or can the club hire you straight off?

I'd be happy to watch games for the club with only expenses paid. No wage required.
