SPECULATION - Moritz Volz

by West_Reading » 19 Dec 2009 17:32

I notice that he's doing a lot of work for ESPN as a pundit. As far as I know he hasn't retired prematurely (?). I think he would make a good signing considering our lack of a natural right back (excluding Cummings), despite how well Tabb's playing.

Volz had a nast injury towards the end of his Fulham career which took an age for him to recover from, in fact not sure he's even right now. If he was fit and able would be a decent addition, sadly don't think he will be fit till next season.

So we have now signed a Right back but unfortunately not Volz. Still Griffin will be a massive improvement on what we already have.

Judging by the interview with Griffin on the OS, I'd say that Volz has a better command of the English language. I wish we had signed him for comedy value alone. Try his website:

I think he runs it himself.
If he does, all credit to him. "Humourless Westphalian" he ain't!

11.01 Hertha Berlin have confirmed that they are set to offer a trial to former Fulham full-back Moritz Volz.

I suppose the trial is to see if he can survive a full training session without getting injured.
