Speaking to a little contact of mine about Bertrand and apparently Chelsea have already had 4 or 5 bids in for Bertrand around the 2 million mark. Looks like this is almost certainly gonna be his only season with us at that kind of money.

Yeah he's not interested in joining a club like us permanently, don't blame him. Bm phenomenal management has masked the cracks this season. He'd love to join an ambitious club according to reports.

I reckon either of the promoted clubs, West Brom or Newcastle would be interested at that sort of price. Poss West Brom more likely as Di Matteo probably still got useful Chelsea contacts.

Would be a good move for Bertrand and a step up from us and the chance of regular first team Prem football for him.

Doubt Armstrong will play a season again. But if he could get fully fit and avoid injuries I think he's at least as good as Bertrand, if with different qualities.

I think Bertrand is alright. We've seen his weaknesses this season, but he's done ok and I think he has a fair amount of potential. At £2m, though, I don't think it would represent money well-spent for us, even if it wasn't a case of competiting with more attractive suitors.

With Michael Mancienne and Patrick van Aanholt making his playing as a 70-90th min sub, Bertrand is better off with us IMO.

I'm confused 1871 royal, hart has only been on a season long loan at Birmingham and they haven't got him next season.

I'd be surprised to see Bertrand sign for us permanently. I think he'll leave chelsea but as soon as someone comes in offering double the wages we'll offer him he'll be off. Unless he loves Mc D as much as the fans do.
