21 (but will turn 22 at the end of this month). Attacking midfielder. He's used on the midfield left in a 3 man midfield for Viking currently. Not a winger though.

Here is the goal he scored last night for Viking. A cracker:

Also here is the original story which you can put through google:

I don't understand why we would be looking at midfielders - that is the one area (along with goalkeeper) where we DON'T need to sign anyone.......

You say that, but Matejovsky and Cisse look to be on their way out. There's also specualtion that a big offer for Sigurdsson could be on the cards, and that could be hard for the club to turn down. There could be quite a few more outs this summer.

We can afford to lose Matejovsky and Cisse and not replace them (although Cisse's central defensive cover would be missed).

No big loss, IMO.

Would it? we have the impressive and hard working Jay Tabb, and Karacan. Also Gunnarsson who I think I read has been offered a new deal?

No big loss, IMO.

It's just cover and it would mean that we would need to replace that cover as we aren't exactly blessed with a lot of centre backs in our squad.

Gunnarsson seems to be the better cover as he can play in the fullback positions as well.

I am talking purely about centre backs and currently we have:

Mills
Pearce
Ingimarsson (contract expiring)
Gunnarsson (contract expiring)
Cisse

If we lose Cisse then we need to replace his central defensive cover that he provided. Whether you rated him or not is not the issue.

I think McDermott has always had in his mind to get another CB or two whether or not Cisse, Gunnarsson and Ingimarsson are going to stay.

So now you are a mind reader as well. Is there no end to your talents?

It's obvious, isn't it, judging by the way he was saying he would like to keep Zurab Khizanishvili.

So by saying he wants to keep Zurab means that he wants to sign one or two centre backs whether or not Cisse, Gunnarsson and Ingi stay.

Here is another excellent goal from Bjarnason. The move to his solo goal starts at about 0:50. Imo he would be a class signing.

Ideal I don't know why we'd want to sign someone from one of the shittiest teams in Norway, we should be looking at one of the Tromsø players, they are topping the league at the moment, and look way better than anyone in the Viking team.

What a strange argument. Bjarnason is a very talented player and will not stay in such a shitty league for much longer. Doesnt mean that Tromsö dont have any good players but there is something speacial about Icelandic players in Reading. Norwegian ones......well.

If we go for any Norwegian player its got to be "Øyvind Hoås" just for his 6ft 8 height

Based on your logic, The Sig can't be that good as he plays for a mid-table team; in fact, anyone claiming he was any good in January would on your logic have been a moron as Reading were in the relegation zone.

I think an attacking midfielder to be either back up to Sig, or to provide competition is not a bad thing.
