Yellowcoat I agree. Once again both Schards & Fag Ash Lil continue to use these boards to make their usual small minded non football related swipes against the club. Even worse they have been used as moderators on here to allow unbalanced postings to continue.

The 17 Bus However we still have a better surface that some other clubs that do not have rugby, we could build the extension, I seem to recall the new stands had a clear section all arond the roof to allow more light to get to pitch level and help the grass grow.
Team doing ok lets bitch about something.

Could you point out the bitching please.
I took the dog for a walk this morning, the ground was absolutely sodden, I noticed London Irish were playing today and was worried the pitch might suffer.
What exactly is the/your problem with that?

you are basically complaining about RFC sharing a the ground, Lower Earley is bound to be sodden it was built on a flood plain.
We share the ground, we get shedloads of money for it, that helps the Stadium and its costs. FWIW I popped in to B&Q while the game was on, loads of noise from inside to be heard.
IMHO it is a shame that the ground sharing was not planeed before the ground was built, as they could have added 20m to the length of the pitch, allowing less wear on the busy areas as the lines could be alternated, causing less bare patches.

Row Z Royal Schards:
By complaining about the state of the pitch after rugby is played on it, you are complaining on any rugby being played on it, thus complaining about the groundshare.
Either that, or you're complaining about the weather which, if bad enough, ruins a pitch with just football being played on it.

There's a difference between expressing concern that the pitch may be in a bad state for some crucial games (which I did) and complaining about the cause of it (which I didn't).

Anyone else slightly concerned that it's going to get trashed by the rugby.
