Speculation- Rory Fallon

by SCIAG » 10 Jan 2009 13:01

Tall New Zealand striker with a great leap. Would be pretty cheap, maybe £200k. A lot of potential, improving fast, the sort of signing Coppell loves and the sort of player we need.

Recently signed a new contract, but that hasn't stopped Doyle being linked with a move.

 rory faLOLon.

He has a big presence and his heading is class but doenst score alot at this level and is unproven in the the prem. his goalscoring record in the championship is played 61 scored 12....poor. He's not a regualr starter for plymouth, his touch is woeful and doesnt have that reading work ethic that our strikers do.

Improving fast says SCIAG...

A friend of mine tipped him to do well in his early days at Swindon (5 or 6 years ago) but he hasn't exactly come on much since then.

I was basing that line on that.

FWIW he'd be a better signing than Fryatt.

He's 26 and i cant see how he could improve greatly before he reaches his prime in the next year or so.
Im not saying he cant be a good championship striker but in my eyes and from what ive seen from him down here, he will never become a top championship or good prem player which is what we would need in order to improve the team. just look at his goal scoring record on wiki.

saw him a couple at times while I was at uni in PLymouth. The guy is a joke of footballer, jumps to 4ft and can't finish his dinner

I believe that Swansea were surprised when someone offered a fee for him
