Skysports.com understands Bolton defender Danny Shittu is hoping to find a new club before the close of the transfer window.
Shittu is keen to be playing regularly this season as he looks to safeguard his place in the Nigeria squad ahead of next summer's World Cup finals.
The signing of Zat Knight has pushed Shittu further down the pecking order at the Reebok Stadium and Trotters boss Gary Megson has admitted he is open to offers for the powerful defender.
