SPECULATION - Sonko

by West_Reading » 04 Jan 2010 03:34

Sonko was out of favour at Stoke so was loaned to Hull. Torres cut short any chance he had of establishing himself at Hull. What are the chances of us getting him back until the end of the season?

Nothing. He left us for a reason. I don't want another second coming of Oster/Kitson.

Sonko left because he thought he was better than he actually was and wanted more money, he wont be coming back and I don't think it would do us any good if he did. He had his time at Reading and good luck to him, but given the manner he left I doubt very much you'll ever see him back at the club.

The benefits would be that he's on the same wavelength as Ingi (see back from the game debate) and he has a bit of recovery pace. Albeit not as much as pre his knee injury.
The negatives would be that he was abysmal in his last season here and that his attitude towards the club was poor upon relegation i.e I want out of here.
This did actually cross my mind in the back from the game discussion but I came down on the "no" side upon reflection

appparenty playing quite well for Donny.

The only reason most Reading fans thought he was dump was because Little was so good.

That and the fact that he isn't actually that good, certainly not as a Premiership player which is what he was trying to be when he was here and not performing.

As back up to Little in the Championship he was fine, as our first choice Premiership right winger he wasn't good enough.

what a horrendus suggestion. We really don't need to bring in a calamitous centreback.

He was awful after he cameback following his injury. You must be bonkers to want him back.
