I say the club should keep Church. I believe that he can play in the premiership and he is similar to Heskey. Keep in for a few more seasons, and offload him for 5-6 million.

Someone give him a chance! He just started his debut season! He can be a better player!

We won't sell Mills for the same amount we paid. He will only go for a substantial profit.

It's just papers with some column inches to fill.

We didn't pay £2m though - it was more like £1.5 with other cavets built in - but agreed I don't think we'd sell for £2m - prob need a bid of nearer £3m.

Not that there is any grounds for this rumour but IF Mr Mad feels the need to adjust further in light of ending parachute payments, we must look not to sell those that have shown potential to being the future back bone of the team. Therefore, off-loading the likes of Inga/Marek (sadly) - who undoubtedly are on higher end of the wage structure are far more sustainable sources of revenue.

No but it also unlikely that if the papaers are talking fees then the headline fee isn't what would actually be paid (ie the headline fee for Mills was £2m but it isn't what we paid).

His physicality and aerial ability are being over-stated here, I feel.

Keep both. Keep Siggy. Keep Tabb. Keep Long. Keep Jimmy. Keep Jobi.
We need to build a side around this group of players.

Anyone much bigger than those two and I'd be worried. But Church seems sensible and hopefully wil realise he needs another season as first choice at this level. We'd be mad to let Mills go though.

We should be building a promotion side around him, not letting him go and leaving us with the deadly duo of Ivar and Pearce. Talk about sluggish.

I reckon we might sell Davies. We never play him and yet he's done well on loan. Someone must want him if we don't and he should go for a reasonable price. If I was him, I'd go.

Simon Church - 5ft 11in and 11½ stone
Emile Heskey - 6ft 2in and 13½ stone

I can see the comparison

I'd say out of all our strikers, Bignall is probably the closest to Heskey, certainly not Church.
