No wonder football is in such a mess. When will the authorities do something about this?

Technically Hull don't owe us anything. They passed the debt on to a financial company, who Hull are now not paying.

No idea how that works.

Why doesn't SJM do this? We could then get the players we need TFIC 8)

If true then the FA should place them under an indefinite transfer embargo until all debts are paid.

Hell, its Craig Maskell all over again - only this time we're on the receiving end.

http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10338~2121286,00.html

Hull City AFC is pleased to announce that it has received approval from Investec Bank plc for renewal of the club's existing banking facility. The revised terms for a period of up to two years provide the club with long term financing support and we can now look forward to a period of sustained financial stability.

The club wishes to place on record it's gratitude to various UK and overseas football clubs with whom it has liabilities in respect of player purchases. All liabilities in respect of player purchases has been rescheduled by affordable payment plans and all debt will be paid in full to all clubs by August 2011.

2 years = long term? No wonder they ended up in such a mess in the first place

Well I presume that we've come to some sort of arrangement with Hull over the remaining payments, whereas Motherwell and Cardiff had not.

It sounds like we have already come to some arrangement.
