RUMOUR: Jon Flanagan

by Reading4eva » 06 Jul 2012 11:19

A suprise one this. My source tells me that Reading are after Flanagan from Liverpool in a £3 Million swoop. Versatile defender, mainly a right back but has been known to switch. Not rated by Brendan Rodgers, and understood to be an Everton fan, so loyalties are limited

And on the Gylfi Thread:

Reading4eva In a clear show of our power, an extremely good source has informed me that Gylfi Sigurdsson and his agent has agreed to meet with Zingarevich and McDermott. The time and date of the meeting are unconfirmed, but will be by Tuesday afternoon at the latest. This doesnt mean Sigurdsson's final decision will be made on that day, but he will have met with all the interested parties.

In response to Saaaaaaaaaaaam - I didnt say Gylfi was going to sign, only that we made our interest known to him. Therefore it is in no way false if you read it again. Also it was specified that there was another top 6 team interested, Liverpool and AN other... we speculated Newcastle, it ended up being Tottenham. If it was Norwich who had just signed him, then I'd say you have a cause of concern.

In response to LoyalRoyalFan - The Jack Midson story was one I was told. Again it was an enquiry understood to be made by the club. Unless your on the board at Reading, or AFC Wimbledon I'd suggest you know no better than I do.

All I do guys is fed what is coming from my sources. Likewise, if they still had the forum posts back from 2003, you would soon realise it was one of these sources who had told me about Steve Coppell coming to the club. I cant wait for another one like that to come through the door. I have several sources, some more reliable than others, but I understand you want the rumours and the gossip, and I am happy to provide you with what I know. The pure facts, only McDermott knows.
