Snowflake Royal
Royal Rother How the hell do we expect to win if we don’t start with Ejaria?

Because he was the worst player on the park in his last game.

Have to admit though - it is strange how much better our results seem to be for when he starts against when he doesn’t. Considering how little impact he has in an attacking sense anyway

Why on Earth did Barker not shoot.

Poor shot from Joao, but he's never scoring at that angle with the keeper and a defender right there.

That's correlation for you.

He's vaguely useful for retaining possession, but he delivers sod all, the last game he was a disaster nearly sinking us and he's competing with Ince - who injects pace and is much better on the break, Hoilett - who has produced more and played a lot better in the last game, and Swift -who is arguably our best player, though not really performing.

Yet again we get to watch yet another set of away supporters celebrating in our Stadium.

Cardiff another average side that ultimately don't need to work too hard to take three points from us.

The fact Barker and Azeez have both come on ahead of Ejaria tells you all you need to know about Ince's opinion of Ejaria after Stoke.

Oh well, results gone our way. Disappointing result - typical of our season. Can't ever put the game safe and Cardiff were unlikely to be as abject second half as first half.

Rother will try to blame Joao for a tussle on the halfway line, but the real reason is the defence and midfield failed to do their job, and arguably so did one of the linesmen.

Nyland had no chance with the first, but feel he could have done better on the second, but not what you'd call an error by any stretch.

I refuse to make any comment about Ejaria playing pushing our form up, and him not playing costing us because it will upset the usual suspects.

Dreadful performance in the second half, pretty much as bad as it’s been this season.

Still have the 8 point cushion thankfully, and there’s a game less for everyone, but this dreadful inability to convert chances when on top in games needs to be sorted out.

A trip to Sheffield next, really do not expect a anything out of that and then it’s a visit from what appears to a revitalised Swansea who put 4 past Cardiff!

Why oh why can’t Reading ever just win games like this?

Yep, getting close to Derby and Posh having to win every game and hope we lose every game.

Honestly thought I'd seen the last of performances like that for the moment.
That must really be up there with the shittiest halves of football this season. Thank god results went our way.

How frustrating

Looked great first half, really good

Second half cardiff came out more physical, got some decisions to their way and we failed to deal with it

Looked tired and clueless. Defence twice losing concentration

Ince, Hoilett, Azeez etc did f all out wide, and we failed to keep possession second half - was like watching some of the Pauno performances

Poor game from McIntyre - don’t blame him as such, he isn’t a FB. Need to go back to Baba, and yes sorry to be that poster, but get Ejaria back in there

Got lucky with the other results

It’s not just correlation - it’s such a big sample now. We’re a better side with him in it. Ince and Hoilett both poor today

Great first half, with Yiadom, Drinkwater, Hoilett and Joao looking particularly good.

Awful second half. Referee got a lot of fouls wrong both ways, but the foul on Joao before the goal was on the halfway line, so we can’t really use that as an excuse. McIntyre and Yiadom our best players in the second half, which is always a bad sign. Ejaria should have come on when TDB did.

Hard to fathom out two halves of football so different in so many ways, seemed to me we thought the job was already done, Cardiff were always going to improve after the break while we just went through the motions.
And shooot Barker you stupid mong.

He’s gone quiet for the time being, probably studying replays of the match to post his detailed / unarguable analysis of how it was that Ejaria cost us the match today.

I think I’ve got it....

When he came off the bench to warm up and the ball went out for a throw straight to Ejaria’s feet, he held onto the ball far too long, and then his delivery to Yiadom who was waiting to take a quick throw was weak, and ended up at the feet of a Cardiff player. Just fcuk off Ovie you could have cost us the match there.
