Loafer And the fact that they have one of England's top keepers and don't even use him is absolutely oxf*rd mind boggling

Man United need a complete reshuffle. They utterly ballsed up by not getting Poch in when they had the chance.

I think Ten Haag is a better choice personally speaking. Poch has had an opportunity to prove himself at the top of the game, but yet has underachieved in the CL with PSG and didn't win the league last year which is pretty embarrassing for them. Ten Haag's stock has been rising for a while and is probably best placed for an opportunity to try and succeed at the top level, the first step is United getting there though.

If we start comparing United to the City's, Liverpool's and even Chelsea's of the league, then it probably won't work. If United are allowed to improve under Ten Haag's contract, if sufficient progress is made, then they will probably end up doing ok. Arsenal and Spurs do seem to be improving though as well.

NathStPaul I think Pogba would do alright under Pep in that City team.

Not a bad shout, as long has he had a good partner next to him. Rodri or Fernandinho would be fine.

If he has no responsibility then he's a decent player, I remember Ole started playing him in an advanced role at some point last season and he looked like a world beater. Think he went on a pretty decent scoring run. Once you leave Pogba exposed in midfield or playing next to the likes of Matic or McTominay he just loses his head a bit, hasn't got the stomach for a tough midfield battle imo.

I think you are both right about Pogba who has done well playing in good sides at Juventus and for France.
At the moment he is not playing in a good side, in fact a side that will do well to qualify for the Europa League.

Bit of a shame that it's not going to be decided by Richarlison deflecting a Pickford clearance off his arse into his own goal in the 98th minute.

Everton's #6 played 73min and only played 6 passes
Of which only 2 were successful
.....both from kick offs

In contrast Liverpool #6 completed 120 successful passes

My son came round to watch the match and I said that he should look out for Everton's Gordon.
" A promising player but a bit of a diver" I said.

So If I knew it then Stuart Attwell obviously did.
Somebody should tell the lad that Richarlison is not a good role model.

Can’t be many better sixth choice forwards than Origi. Surprised Klopp has left him out the squad for so long and I doubt he’d have been on the bench on Sunday if Firmino was fit. Think whilst Firmino is a better footballer, Origi is more likely to make an impact off the bench

Still think the title is City’s but Liverpool will push them hard

There's three clubs play them both still which is unusual, albeit Newcastle and Villa go to City, whereas Liverpool have away fixtures against those sides. City have to go to Wolves still, who visit Anfield in the final game. For me it is this weekend that might see a decisive slip - Liverpool are at a resurgent Newcastle (one defeat since November at home), and City go to a Leeds team unbeaten in five and with a decent record since Marsch came in.

I think City win the league.

Think West Ham could be a good bet to stop City too - although I think they’ll get past Frankfurt so their attention may be elsewhere by the time of that game

Beaten Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea and Sevilla at home and only lost to a 90th minute goal against United. Knocked City out the league cup at home too

Think it’s fairly evident that Liverpool will need to win every game to stand a chance

You may well be right that West Ham get past Frankfurt but there is something about Eintracht and the Europa League - 2nd semi in a couple of years.

It's either going to be an all German final or an all British final I think.

While this may be the case, there is also something about Sevilla and Europa League and they put pay to them in the round of 16!

Leipzig 1/1 to win the trophy from Bet365, Rangers 8/1!

Wouldn’t surprise me if a British team won all three UEFA competitions, Leicester Roma will be a close one I think

Martin Atkinson and Jonathan Moss are retiring at the end of the season. With Deany going too this is the end of an era for Premier League refereeing.

Good news for Reading though, it means we will get rid of a few refs from the Championship.

Thinking about 'settled' line-ups. From the 2018-19 CL final, seven (Alisson, TAA, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Salah, Mane) or arguably nine (add Matip, Henderson) of Liverpool's starting XI might be considered to be in their first-choice line-up now. Only Wijnaldum (gone) and Firmino (normally on the bench now) have inarguably dropped out of that team.

So that's four seasons with Liverpool's line-up in basically the same place. Got me wondering if that core of seven players, as a group, have played more times together than any other group in history. Can't think of many other line-ups that stayed the same for so long, even the great United sides of the 90s and 00s. Maybe the peak Barca team of the 2010s.

In contrast only seven of Spurs' entire squad that day (Lloris, Kane, Son, Dier, Moura, Davies, Winks) are still at the club, nevermind starting games.

I still can't believe Harry Winks started a Champions League final.

I still can't believe that Winks got anywhere near the England squad.
