Marcus Rashford to be unveiled as a Barca player today. Not sure how he manifested that move, but here we are. Good luck to him.

Not sure that's a correct use of manifested

He's been saying since last season that he's going to end up at Barca, despite it not looking at all likely.

Do they see him as a Nico Williams clone?

Daily Mail, and only the Daily Mail at this stage, says that Isak has told Newcastle he wants to leave the club - albeit short of handing in a formal transfer request.

Don’t players get a pay off from a selling club when they leave or something and that’s negated if they put in a written transfer request?

No wonder football’s broken.

Howe rested him for the Celtic game and now he's not going on their pre-season tour of Asia. Does sound like his head's been turned.

If Liverpool end this summer with Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz then you can probably skip next season and give them the title now.

But is Ekitike actually any good? Seen some reports saying he’s the worst finisher in Europe and others saying only Haaland and Mbappe have greater potential. Suppose there must be something in his stats that suggests he’s something otherwise Liverpool wouldn’t have spent £69m on him.

Be  if he turns out to be the French Nunez.

Interesting comparison to Isak. Ekitike is statistically the 'worst' finisher in the top 5 leagues (min number of games) based on xG. He converted I think 12% of his shots last season. Isak though was at 8% the year he before he was suddenly brilliant at Sociedad.

If they do get Isak then it is looking 'generational' however...

Utd won three on the spin, then bought van Nistelrooy and Veron...finished third!
