Poor substitutions cost us tonight two dropped points on the manager . Tried to close the game out too early. Doyle looked done in and should have come off earlier. no attacking threat after we scored.

10 draws in 27 games, there`s the reason we`re not going up or down.

The number of times Wing defaults to a backwards ball instead of moving into space or playing a forward pass slows our play down to a pedestrian pace.

Playing at the back means this he spends a lot of time passing to the centre backs.

It’s as if he’s bonused on passes completed.

This and the sheer lack of movement in the middle means we just go down the flanks or backwards.

There’s signs of a decent team in there but also something which is quite evidently missing. We have good individual players but it’s how you integrate them into the team which is where it really counts

Wing and Savage continue to give off the same feel that Norwood - Williams did with two strong individuals who don’t quite seem to gel together. Burton were a poor side admittedly but we haven’t had as much of a control in midfield in a long time as we did against them, and I’m not sure it was a coincidence that that was the game those two were split up

Doyle takes a fair degree of criticism but he’s consistently involved in our better moves IMO, takes the ball well on the half turn and moves the defenders around. On the other hand, Lane has picked up where he left off, I.e. very anonymous and not entirely sure DK merits the game time he gets :?:

All in all, promising signs in there but just a little something is missing, hoping that with time it’s something that LR will identify and fix

That's down to the management and coaches, of whom I'm not convinced with.
The table doesn't lie, 8 points from a play off spot and 7 points from the bottom three. A bang average team in mid table.

retro royal Really don't like what Leam's doing to this club, football is atrocious to watch, hoof ball, pissing off all the kids, I'm still worried about relegation we certainly not safe yet, yes we picked up good points over Xmas, certainly rode our luck through many of them

My thoughts exactly.
