Not only that, this thread needs to have time to put together its own set of contributors before it can be properly judged.

It's not fair to judge it on the nobbers here when it was started.

And even better that it was his only effective tactic from the past year - throwing ALF on late and hoping he grabs something - that was his undoing.

Yes, I think there's a certain wit in the way that Nige played it - don't fanny around with a different style, just try and out-McDermott McDermott. Really rub it in his face what he's lost.

I don't think there was ever any realistic chance I was going to go to Sheffield anyway

Wow. Being bitter is one thing, being bitter for absolutely no discernible reason whatsoever has a touch of the Raoul Moats about it :!:

Ouroboros I think you're forgetting that a lot of the debate centres over which manager would attain the best results in the Premiership.

So we're never going to find out?

I fear that there will never be a conclusive answer here tbh. Both have their relative merits. I guess we'll have to accept that being curvy is all well and good, but we also like them to be well turned out as well.

It was good to see Bri and Noel get a decent reception. A nice way to bring closure to the whole thing (hopefully).

Oh come on, it wasn't that bad. Those kind of stains just need a bit of elbow grease.

Well it wasn't me who forced you to leave it unwashed all that time, because you 'liked the memories the smell inspired'

And Guthrie's performance as well. He's been superb this season, and last night showed Brian exactly what we missed last season, has he used him the right way.

winchester_royal It was good to see Bri and Noel get a decent reception. A nice way to bring closure to the whole thing (hopefully).
and that's all that matters to some of us.

Nige now on a 25% win rate since he took over (4 wins in 16) we are (hopefully) now finally cooking, and we are on a decentish (results based) run

Brians win rate is a lot better at Leeds

Its a result based game

I just hope that we scrap it out at the end of the season for the trophy.

Will be interesting to see both managers in the Prem fighting over the scraps.

I know, it's almost as if Nige had to play a load of games in the Premier League or something.........
