Lost me there, maybe i dont watch enough TV.
So, you see, in the 2000s there was this big successful American TV series called 24 - was shown on the BBC over here - and the lead character's name was Jack Bauer....
Hope haven't I ruined it by explaining for those not interested in TV (or too young to know

)
I get it now. (Titter,titter). I was not too young in the 2000's, more like too old and also wise enough not to watch American TV shows!

It is probably one of the best TV shows to come out of America...

You don't have to have watched it to get the reference. It was huge at the time, and really not that long ago. Didn't see a minute of the actual show and still got the reference almost immediately.

Ditto - got it straight away and thought "that's cr@p - he was called Jack not Patrick".

I didn't say I have never watched any American TV. I used to watch Quincy! I think that was the last time I watched more than one episode of a TV show from the USA.

I have had a word with myself and decided I would rather get lost (in a jungle) than watch Game of Thrones.

I think I have decided that people who don't watch TV shows out of spite because they are popular are the worst kind of people.
Even worse than Leeds fans.

I think that I have decided that people who try to wind people up are even worse than Leeds fans. Anyhow, there is no spite about me not watching USA TV shows. I just do not like them. I expect there are shows that I watch, that you wouldn't, everyone has their own taste and can watch they like.

I get not liking sci fi, or fantasy, or sit com's etc, but not liking anything just because it is made in America?
That's just a bit mental.

Are you a Leeds fan as well? I am not mental, nor will you wind me up. If you read my first post correctly, the USA TV programmes that where I have seen the first episode, do not appeal to me, so I haven't watched any further episodes. Can we just agree to differ and get the thread back on track?
