Make of that what you will
If he's been pressured into signing YM by fans due to his big talk & little action (so far) and it turns into Shane Long pt2, you know who to blame...

Doesn't seem to be the capricious sort to me.
Don't think his career as a trial lawyer would have got very far if he was that easily swayed.

The Twitter noise from what I've seen is pretty much 50/50 in favour of re-signing him....like on here.

You gotta admit his 'Messi' jibe in the interview clip wasn't exactly Harvey Spector....

Agreed. I also think we've seen occasions where he's displayed a stubborn - 'I'm going to get/do what I want and i'm going to do it my way' streak followed by dogged persistence.

Saw that photo at the weekend.

It shows that he's still in France (from the blackboard behind him) and apparently he like to wear kit from his old clubs as a few days before he posted a photo of himself wearing Cardiff shorts (I bet they're not as excited that be might be re-signing for them!)

Also there's a photo of Lucas Joao wearing the same design of Reading top doing the rounds - do we think he's coming back too?

Starting to feel like this is more likely a goer now. Unless Meite does indeed decide to move back to France.

The initial clamour to get Meite back appears to have died down. It would be quite funny if he was suddenly announced totally out of the blue and what the reaction (meltdown) on Twitter would be like

Would 100% still take him.

The longer it goes on withoutus signing Bowler /A N Other and without Meite signing for someone else, better a signing it would be.

Hmmmm... Camara, Garcia, Osho, Tuma, Okine-Peters.... or Meite?

On paper it’s always seemed a fairly obvious transfer

I’d certainly take him but I’m guessing it was never a goer for one reason or another - maybe wage demands.

With our lack of striking options, we would be bonkers not to offer him at least a one year deal, I suspect he has been on Championship wages and would have to take a big pay cut to come back. As time goes by, if he gets no other offers, it might be a goer towards the end of the window.

You suspect a Championship player was on Championship wages?

Depends. Unless you're a top star, the Saudis are sometimes reluctant to actually pay some players.
