Bury were always a bit of a bogey team for us-we lost at home to them on the day that I got married-but I hope they stay in existence as I hate to see long-standing clubs in trouble.
Once again it is the fans that suffer because of mismanagement and we know what that is like-not just recently but in the Smee/Maxwell days-to face up to the prospect of our club folding and there is so little that the fans can do..

Wimbledon fans suffered whilst their club was falling apart. They've had a fabulous time getting back into the league in just 9 years once it actually folded though, it means so much to them.

The integrity of the competition shouldn't be waived for fans having to lose and restart their club. Creditors shouldn't repeatedly lose out because fans will be upset by having to restart a club.

Preventing a club getting here is important, but once it's got to this point it's pretty much got to die.

Bolton told they have until 5pm tomorrow to sort out the future ownership on the notice on their membership will also be served (giving them 14 days).

FL not happy as they were told that the deal was essentially done prior to the Wycombe game hence being allowed to start the season - looks like Ken Anderson keeps changing his demands. Fair to say if the FL had known it was going to rumble on like this, they would have not been playing esp given they are playing the kids.

L1 is a mess this year - Ipswich top mainly due to that 5-0 on Saturday against Bolton - if they had played a stronger Bolton team and won just 2-0 then they would be 4th. Can see someone being very peeved this year if Bolton do survive as someone is going to miss out due to points or GD based on playing Bolton Academy.

There is no revenge involved. Aside from the fans who are just normal folk like you and I that care about their club and find it a central part of their community, you have those who are employed behind the scenes who's jobs are on the line here, you have local supply chains who are going to be hit hard (see Pompey for an example) and you could even have charities that lose out (see Leeds and Pompey for an example).

As much as there are big match day rivalries, there are far more days when football fans should be standing together and supporting each other.
